Responsible for the safe and efficient operations and maintenance of plant activities at the combustion turbine power plant.
(The following duties are for a JL Combustion Turbine Technician. Duties for Technician I- IV are similar but less in overall scope, responsibility, and accountability.)
Requirements:
Six (6) years of power plant experience which may consist of an equivalent combination of related education and/or power plant experience.
Must have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Possession of current valid drivers license.
Maintain CPR certification, spill/waste handling training requirements and the ability to perform CPR and apply spill/waste training, respirator training and testing, and obtain opacity certification twice per year.
Willingness to work extra or irregular hours, shift work, weekends, holidays, call out and overnight travel as required.
Willingness to work with high voltages; obtain switching certification; and perform high voltage switching.
Willingness to be on call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
Must reside within 20 miles of the base location.
