General Purpose of the Position: The Center Director is employed on a full time basis with responsibility and authority to oversee all operational aspects of the Center. The Director is a Registered Nurse with nursing and administrative ability to organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the nursing care and the overall operational aspects of the Center. The Center Director supports the objectives and philosophy of AmSurg.

8. Pharmaceutical Services
Maintains proper DEA requirements in the ambulatory setting

Contracts with Pharmacy Consultant to oversee services
Understands common forms of adverse reactions and appropriate documentation
9. Information Management ,Clinical Records
Ensures the confidentiality, security and integrity of information of the medical record is maintained
Complies with HIPPA regulations
Retains documents and records according to state and federal requirements
10. Financial
Reviews and analyzes Monthly Operating Reports - uses the data for informed decisions
Contributes to annual operating budget development
Performs cost benefit analysis
Oversees management of accounts payable, receivable and collections
Assists in identifying budget items necessary for successful marketing
11. Materials Management
Oversees acquisition of medical supplies, drugs and equipment

Credentials physicians and allied health practitioners (e.g., peer review, appointment, verification of credentials)
Reappoints physicians and allied health practitioners every 2 years
Maintains current list of approved center procedure
Requirements
Education and Experience Required:
Must be a registered nurse with an administrative background in a clinical setting. 3-5 years management experience required.
