Are you a Clinical Nurse Specialist with a passion for Neonatal Intensive Care? Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to oversee the educational needs for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The 44 bed unit provides acute care for premature babies and sick neonates using cutting edge technology. The NICU provides Level II and Level III care to the smallest babies in the state. This position functions as the expert clinician; will validate required educational needs and competencies for unit staff development, manage the unit training programs and processes, and provide oversight of unit preceptorship program.

Requirements:

Essential job requirements:
Successful applicants will possess at least 5 years recent RN experience providing acute care in a Level III NICU. Experience with transport, delivery room attendance, resuscitation, surgical and acutely ill chronic patients is helpful. Must possess recent Clinical Educator or equivalent experience. Masters of Science in Nursing in area of Clinical Specialty is required. Masters degree program must also adhere to National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialist standards for educational preparation. Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
