We are currently seeking a Director, Fund Management Financial Reporting to lead internal and external fund financial reporting requirements by ensuring accurate and timely fund reporting, including quarterly investor reports, and internal management reporting. This includes:
Recommending and developing reporting and process enhancements
Ensuring documentation and reporting of fair value methodology for investors
Overseeing Fund Managements annual budgeting process as well as implementing a formal quarterly forecasting process
The professional we seek will support Corporate Accountings timely issuance and distribution of K-1s, providing critical tax information for investors and maintaining compliance with REIT rules. Determine investor call requests from a capital and timing perspective and follow up on non-receipt of any contributions. Ensure Fund Performance returns are managed at the fund level and provide Fundraising support as well as support preparation of marketing, due diligence and offering documents (PPM, Pitch Book, etc.). In addition, you will oversee completion and ongoing updates of the investment track records for each fund.
For the position of Director, Fund Management Financial Reporting, we require a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in the related areas of finance, accounting, and financial reporting in the area of a fund or funds specializing in Real Estate assets. Qualified candidates must demonstrate a depth of experience in the financial metrics of managing complex real estate investments and the ability to effectively synthesize and communicate operating and performance results to a broad range of sophisticated constituencies both within and outside the firm.
Candidates must possess the key qualities of a proactive leader; the ability to contribute to and truly understand, and impact the business objectives of Fund Management. Create, align and grow the fund operations and related functions and processes to support these goals and objectives.
This candidate should possess demonstrable leadership qualities and have experience working for a financial services company, principal investor, advisor, hedge fund and/or private equity firm with a strong track record of successfully investing a variety of commercial real estate and/or corporate finance related products.

The core requirements for this position include the following:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA designation is required
Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent a plus
Minimum 10 years of accounting or finance experience
Financial Services and/or Fund experience (real estate or private equity) preferred
Candidate should also possess the following competencies:

Extensive Finance knowledge including extensive experience working with economic concepts within a finance organization
Strong lending, real estate and/or fund experience

A self starter who combines innovation and discipline to achieve value added and timely results
Significant leadership skills that will translate well within a small Finance team as well as throughout the greater organization
Experience with implementing and maintaining effective internal controls
Ability to navigate between accounting and economic concepts easily. Works well with non-financial customers focused on pure business economics
Ability to process and evaluate GAAP, Tax, Economic and Cash impact of different transactions/initiatives
