The Director of Pharmacy in Rhinelander, WI offers you an opportunity for you to lead the advancement of decentralized and clinical pharmacy services through technology enhancements including implementation of a Pxysis system. Key initiatives include therapeutic formulary management focused on patient outcomes and cost savings initiatives utilizing the Lean Six Sigma Principles. Scope of clinical services cover a broad range of patient populations that include pediatrics, internal medicine, pharmacokinetics, surgical and medical, and adult critical care. You will be an integral part of the health care team and collaborate with a highly motivated professional pharmacy staff.
Requirements:
Education: A Doctor of Pharmacy ("Pharm.D.") degree from an accredited college or university of the United States is required. In lieu of the Doctor of Pharmacy degree requirement, a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university and a solid and extensive performance record in the essential job functions specific to the position is required. Special Training: In addition to the required Pharmacy degree, completion of residency training in a program approved by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) is preferred Experience: Five years Clinical Pharmacy experience in a hospital setting is required Experience: Strong clinical and quality pharmacy background preferred. Knowledge: Working knowledge of all phases of the medication management including storage, selection and procurement, ordering, dispensing, administration, and monitoring. Knowledge: Knowledge and experience with unit-dose drug distribution methods (packaging, robotics, automated dispensing equipment), Compounded Sterile Preparations, and information technology concepts and advancements (e-MAR, BMV, CPOE). Skills: Strong leadership skills including team building, conflict management, and communication.
