We are currently recruiting for a Financial Services Specialist to be responsible for researching, analyzing and preparing reports on budgets, investments, collections and financial trends. This individual also directly manages Collections staff in their day-to-day work.
Major Duties & Responsibilies Process month-end balancing and journal entries. Complete month-end process.
Reconcile General Ledger of accounts on a monthly basis; research, resolve and report on anomalies as needed.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and budgets, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc. Create ad hoc reports as needed.
Manage all general accounting functions; monthly reconciliation of bank statements.
Work closely with outside accounting firm regarding policies and procedures, annual audits, tax filings and changes in accounting policies and requirements.
In partnership with external vendors, responsible for 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan administration.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting required
CPA certification required
Strong understanding of GAAP and 5+ years experience in general accounting; healthcare experience a plus
Prior experience with QuickBooks required
Exceptional computer skills with Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to work well independently and with others
Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and turn out superior quality work in a timely manner
Excellent oral and written communication skills; superior interpersonal skills and ability to deal well with internal and external clients at all levels
