Summary:
The Manager of Laboratory will manage the daily operations of the Laboratory.
Requirements:
- Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Develops and implements policies, procedures, standards and initiatives.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.
- Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for equipment purchases.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Level Degree required
- Five years of experience required.
- One year of experience in a leadership role required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Technology program or equivalent to meet state requirements required. BS degree in Marketing, Computer Science or a related field maybe acceptable for non clinical areas.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Medical Technologist-Certified ASCP required
- Current licensure as a Medical Technologist in the state of Florida required or an equivalent certification in a laboratory discipline.
- Current licensure as a Laboratory Supervisor in the state of Florida if responsible for Clinical areas.
