Position Overview:

The IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for the supporting the IT infrastructure for Boston location. Additionally, provides IT help desk support to all Euro-Pro employees in the Boston location.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot user problems related to in-house business systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repairs standalone PC’s, printers and other equipment.
  • Install new PC’s and printers and other equipment as needed.
  • Run cables, etc. to facilitate computer hook-ups.
  • Suggests and recommends hardware and software for company purchase.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all components. 
  • Expedite damaged/defective components for repair or replacement.
  • May be required to coordinate phone systems requirements (setup, configure and install equipment as needed).
  • Receive, track and update help-desk tickets
  • Interact with end-users as first line support


Requirements:

Attributes and Skills:

  • Must be extremely detailed oriented and highly organized
  • 2+ years of related IT experience
  • Ability to learn new software and hardware applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; must be able to prioritize.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with all levels and departments
  • Mobile device experience would be a plus.
  • Strong Competencies in desktop support and LAN/WAN technologies
  • Flexibility in work schedule; available to work overtime.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Computer science education preferred. –Degree or relevant certifications
  • Comp-TIA and / or  Microsoft Certification a plus

 

Additional Requirements:

  • On Call for emergency situations 24x7x365
  • Travel up to 10- 25% to Montreal Office for support and coverage as needed
