United Way Worldwide is seeking a Media Technology Manager for our new state-of-the-art Mary M. Gates Learning Center (MGLC). The MGLC is a platform for global learning and knowledge sharing for the United Way system and our partners in creating community change. As the Manager you will play a key role in supporting the technology needs of internal and external customers. You will support the equipment and technology training for regular equipment users; providng production, logistical and customer service support for events and building repeat business for the Mary Gates Learning Center.
the MGLC includes a 165-person auditorium, 5 classrooms, 24-station PC training lab, a Business Center and various breakout rooms and areas.
As the Manager, Media Technology you will be responsible for setting up and supporting the various classroom/training rooms for:
1. Instructor-led classroom and distance learning training
2. Audio conferencing
3. Web conferencing (w/video)
4. Standards-based video teleconferencing
5. Webcasting
6. Marketing
7. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Education Requirements: Minimum requirements include a bachelor degree with at least three years of advanced-level experience in a similar role or an equivalent of experience and education.
Experience Required: Experience with some or all of the following is required: Web-conferencing tools such as Ciscos Web-Ex, GoToMeeting, and Adobe Connect Pro, Setting up and administering standards-based video teleconferencing for H.323 and SIP protocols, including the following Tandberg products (C-90 codec, VCS Call Control and VCS Expressway, MOVI), Use of Crestron a/v control displays, Use of web-streaming appliances, Online Video Platform providers such as BrightCove and YouTube. Live streaming providers such as LiveStream. Hardware used in video teleconferencing and webcasting such as webcams, HD video cameras, microphones, audio, video, and hybrid audio conferencing mixers. Use of any/all of the following software products: Adobe Presenter, Adobe Live Media Encoder, Meeting Room Manager, Audacity, Sorenson Squeeze, MS Office, Telestream Wirecast, Skype, Windows Messenger/Communicator, RefinedDatas TalkingStick Entrepreneurial, customer-focused and results-driven.
Must be able to respond to urgent requests and have the ability to train and mentor others on the effective use of MGLC technology. May have to consult with outside parties, both technology-versed and technology-adverse. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and precisely to diverse clients. Must be able to contribute ideas for improving processes and tools. Additionally, this position requires one to three years of experience in a leadership role.
