Electronics Engineer/Embedded Firmware Designer
Static Control Components, Inc.(SCC) is currently offering exciting, ground floor, career opportunities for highly experienced designers of embedded firmware/software and hardware drivers in our Sanford NC location. We are looking for ?hands on? individuals with extensive experience in programming languages such as ?C/C++? and ?Assembly? for new products and production equipment using microcontrollers and microprocessors.
An ideal candidate would also be experienced in complex discovery work of existing firmware, including disassembly and architecture analysis. Experienced with Linux O/S, including kernel internals, driver development, boot strategies and POSIX threads is a plus. Knowledge of uClinux and/or other processor architectures is a plus.
The following skills are a plus:
? Strong assembler and machine language skills across multiple processors including ARM, MIPS and PowerPC variants. ? Ability to translate significant amounts of disassembly into pseudo code as well as experience with processor simulators and debuggers. ? Knowledge of object module structure and run time infrastructure. Ability to build and work with cross compiler tool chains like GCC. ? Experience with low level bring up code and initialization of processor interrupt vectors, timers and page tables, and flash memory. ? Strong system debug and bring up experience including the use of logic analyzers as well as JTAG debugging practices.
Candidates must be well organized, have the ability to stay on task and work well with others in a group.
