Garmin International, Inc. is looking to hire an Oracle Application Developer. This is a full time role in Olathe, KS. Relocation package is available and transfer of an existing H1B Visa will considered for right candidate.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The ERP Application Developer works closely with the ERP Applications Analyst to develop, customize, enhance and support the Oracle E-Business Suite Applications and other ERP Applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customize Oracle application software like Oracle eBusiness Suite, Agile, Demantra, OTM, etc. to support Garmin business requirements
Develop and support integrations between Oracle eBusiness Suite and other ERP Applications such as those listed above
Create enterprise and internet software to support and integrate with Oracle 11i/R12 eBusiness Suite
Maintain, improve, and extend Oracle ERP Applications using Java, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI publisher, Oracle Discoverer and Oracle Workflow
Work with analysts and users to design applications that best meet user requirements
Work with analysts to develop and implement unit and system testing processes
Write design documents and test procedures for applications
Provide support to helpdesk on escalated problems and issues
Accept and complete projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Continually improve development processes
Requirements:
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
2+ years experience with Oracle 11i or R12 applications
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
2+ years of continuous experience in development within a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
Programming experience in one or more of the following technologies: Structured Query Language (SQL), Programming Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL), Java (J2EE), Java Web Frameworks (Struts, JSF)
Understanding of web standards (XHTML, CSS, etc)
Proven knowledge and understanding of secure coding practices
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Experience with Oracle or any SOA environments
Experience with version control system such as CVS or Subversion
Experience with automated testing tools and testing procedures
Familiarity with SDLC, Quality Standards, and Best Practices
Experience with Oracle Applications tools (e.g. Workflow, etc)
Experience with utilizing Oracle public API’s in program development
