PPT Consulting, a regional consulting firm specializing in People, Process and Technology solutions, is seeking a qualified Director of Network & Computer Services to design, coordinate and direct all operational activities of the IT department at a life sciences client in addition to providing direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. Scope includes all planning, development and support of global data center(s), WAN/LAN network, unified messaging / telephony, servers, hardware, services and infrastructure. This individual will, in conjunction with his/her peers, work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization
Key Responsibilities: ? Relationship Development - develop and maintain effective relationships with the business groups and information peers and associates. ? Strategic & Tactical Planning - assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of a global visionary long-range plan and responsive tactical plans for continuous improvement of all enterprise-wide, global IT technology and service platforms. ? Business Opportunity Identification - assist in identifying opportunities to use technology to improve business processes and create a competitive advantage. ? Business Solutions Implementation - deliver high quality applications and technology based solutions on time and within budget. ? Operations - establish and maintain an operational support model that manages demand and provides IT metrics that drives cost effective and reliable support in accordance with customer needs to minimize maintenance costs of production systems. ? Controls & Validation - assist in the development, implementation, maintenance and validation of GXP computerized systems. Assure compliance with all control requirements as defined in policies and procedures. ? Financial - efficient and effective management of cost center and/or project budget(s). ? Performance Mgmt Process - on-going people management and development. ? Vendor Mgmt ? establish and maintain operational SLA?s through partnerships with key vendors. ? Infrastructure responsibility for all global locations. Responsibility for all global infrastructure personnel.
Requirements:
? Demonstrated ability in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development. ? Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management. ? Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations ? 15 years relevant IT experience, with at least 10 years life-sciences industry experience and 5 years in a leadership position. ? Bachelors degree ? In-depth Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry knowledge specifically in implementing technology solutions to support the end-to-end business is a plus. ? Qualified candidate will demonstrate attention to detail and possess strong analytical skills ? Demonstrated initiative and ability to work in a self-directed manner ? Strong written, verbal, and active listening skills ? Demonstrated Team Player ? Ability to multi-task; able to effectively handle multiple priorities / responsibilities ? Demonstrated Problem solving skills ? Proficiency in using Microsoft-based office applications
